Protectors are not the solution - good though they are they are just a work around.

Honda should be making (or installing/supplying on) lights that are fit for purpose. Something tells me the accountants had a say in the specification of these lights (as always).

What is required is someone to commission a report from a respected professional in whatever field is relevant to this issue (Glass specialist/ Automotive Engineer...etc) and then present it to Honda and ask for their response (can guess what that will be - assuming you even get a response). Next action would be to threaten legal action (possible through the small claims court).

Obviously taking this any further would be very expensive and extremely risky - something that the large corporates know and play on.

Considering the number of people this is affecting it wouldn't be that expensive if a group joined together to fund a report and went down the small claims route - only needs one win.......(I'm no expert on small claims procedures and rules and there may be some issue with a group following this procedure)

In an ideal world we wouldn't be in this position!
