and when you do get a youngster dying in a high speed crash its in the news and high profile because more than likely his 4 mates died with him. peer pressure? most definitely, but as i said in the other split topic a lot of it comes down to attitude and how someone was brought up. not everyone gives into peer pressure.
anyway i drive a 100 miles round trip to uni everyday, and i feel i am MORE THAN competent enough to deal with ANY situation, just as well as you so called "experienced" drivers. i know im not the perfect driver but neither are any of you
Like i said i don't think experience in driving should be defined by how many years you have been driving.
Also when i was 20 i had a ferrari 360 on hire for a mates wedding for a week, was i inexperienced for that car, YES , but was i sensible and learn how to control the power and urge, YES
experience? what a load of old b......

i agree with you NEEMSTAR. Experience isn't just about years driving it is also about miles/kilometres driven. I agree that a young person with a round trip of 100 miles per day would be gaining valid experience and so could there fore be called 'experienced'. I accept your point that not every 'older' person has actually 'driven' a lot and so therefore would and could still be considered as 'inexperienced'.
Maybe part of the problem in this discussion is the definition of 'experienced'?
Surely NEEMSTAR is right that 'experience' can't be just connected to age but to actual miles covered?
