I've seen plenty of people on this forum joking around, and that’s good! It's what makes this forum such a friendly and helpful place to visit. I just don't think what occurred above really falls into that category.
How would you feel if you were relatively new to the forum and suddenly 4 of the 'regulars' turned on you?
I understand you may have been rubbed up the wrong way so to speak, and I completely see where you're coming from, but I wouldn’t bring myself down by retaliating in such a way.
I have respect for allot of the members of this forum and have learned allot from their contributions. I would just hate to think that this would be the first thread someone new would come across.
Maybe it's just me and the stress of exams has driven me into being an old bore?! (No need to answer that  )

I have to say that it is rather rare that this sort of thing happens and there are reasons behind it and yes I totally agree it is rather childish but sometimes even the 'mature' ones do something childish. We are not attacking HFB just his signature sentence - there is a difference.
