Having returned from my local dealer and advised that as well as carrying out the work to rectify the Handbreak issue/recall they had also done the fuel flap and I was a little surprised at this. This was rectified back on the 12k svc (I'm now on 25k > 27k svc!). They explained to me 'They like to check'.
As I have had no issues with my flap since the original rectictification work I decided to investigate. So I went to the Honda site and checked on the 'recall status' on my vehicle - knowing full well it would not have updated in such a short time. On accessing the site at

Why can't the site be more specific as well as independant of our dealer network - don't they think we are capable of understanding an 'alarming' recall notice?
If it did give all the details it would be a very useful site when considering buying a vehicle - as it is it's just another 'Go to your local friendly dealer' notice and enjoy a coffee with a salesman...........
