In the age of information, it's often easier to take what the computer says at face value, despite physical (lack of) evidence to the contrary
"sorry, computer says no"...
Obviously, in a lot of cases, the computer is right - but that does mean that people then expect them to be right
all the time.
And when they are not, it can be difficult to convince people that sometimes the computer
doesn't know best...
