Actually its not a fault of the car if it does that, its called over revving which although the car hits the rev limiter it can still spin the engine as described by hondatech here
Rev limiter = a valuable thing! introduced in the EP3 and it records a speed and rev indicator of when the fault occured it would seem, so if the engine failed then you would have a void warranty! Oh and you cannot over-rev the engine while in netural as the car stops it from going over 4000 rpm or something like that. Flyguy40 told me that the other night lol!
Actually I don't think the guy was saying that '
Just because i'm a woman' as he had a print out of the reading!!!!!! And thats when I told him again I was at 0mph and 0 rpm when the fault occured.
But back on subject, I'll not be doing that in a hurry again. It seems to be the battery draining that caused the issue or so it would seem. It also seems that if the SRS Airbag lights do eventually go off then its 'reset' itself and you don't have to take it to the dealers as they can only check the system when the light is still on! But the handbook tells you to get it checked and I thought I better cause of my long drive next weekend.
