It is far cheaper to drive than to use buses and tubes in the London area, a few weeks ago I went to London on a bus and a train (train being 8 stops) total cost for return journey AND THIS WAS OFF PEAK £9.70 had I used an Oyster card if would have been £6.80 and the the Mayor of London blocks our roads with bus lanes to try an make us travel on them - its pathetic
