Luckily in the east of Scotland ie Edinburgh and East Lothian there hasn't been the panic buying that people have been going on about, neither have the local garages raised their prices. Its costing me still 1.13 for V-Power and I managed to fill my car right up for my trip.

I don't agree with Trade Unions Sorry, its because of them that Soctland and North of England are facing this fuel shortage. They somehow think that by holding the country to ransom (which they basically are) that they will get a final salery pension scheme and not have to contribute towards it. I say wake up to the real world! Final Pension Salery Schemes are a thing of the past, sad but true! If the only way to maintain it is to contribute towards it then so be it. I have too as wel as my own private one and I certianly didn't kick up a stink about it. They just have to face facts that with a ageing population and a volitile market these things cannot be 100% guaranteed!

I feel sorry for the people to the west of Scotland as they seem to be the worst hit. Folk jumping on the band wagon and charging what they like, but then its supply and demand....but my Dad went to his work in Livingston on Monday, went to get fuel totally unaware of any of this to find that there was none anywhere, all the pumps were dry and he was in the M....got home with 20 miles left in the tank and the petrol light on. Not good!

I don't know what its going to be when I am away, when I was down South in February they were already charging 1.08p for unleaded so God only knows what it is going to be.

If there was a fuel shortage in my neck of the woods and the garages were charging over the odds I wouldn't entertain them. It made the News tonight about a garage in Fife that was charging £1.45 per litre for Diesel! They then said the Computer had made a mistake and it was £1.30.....aye right then! They have been exposed on National TV for being robbing Bar Stewards and they know it! The only thing that made a mistake was the greedy owner thinking they could get away with it.

I also don't agree with limiting people to £10, £15 & £20 fill ups only as £20 worth of petrol gets you more than £20 worth of Diesel, especially at the prices they are charging for it! I've seen Petrol at 1.05 & Diesel at 1.16!
