I like my Civic but detatching all emotional factors and in terms of materials and execution of a product the Focus is leapyears ahead of the Civic.
Whilst this post is a bit of fun I think it's disgusting that Honda dealers have knowingly been selling used (and upto a point new) cars with specific requirements for applying the parking brake without advising people on hand over.

Re sarcasm - obviously - i missed out the

at the end !!!
Your comments re the handbrake and the service levels are quite correct to some degree - The handbrake is fit for purpose as on a majority of Civics nothing has ever gone wrong with it, there is an issue which has been/ is being dealt with. All new vehicles are being released with the remodeled parts and any used cars that are sold should have the remodelled parts fitted before release.
As for 'Honda' not telling customers about specific requirements re handbrakes etc, you cannot and should not blanket everyone the same. How do you know that teh whole of Honda don't advise customers??
Whilst i try very hard not to patronise any customer, mainly following issues like this, on handover I run through things like how to correctly apply the handbrake and more importantly why. But on the flip side, when you arrange a handover and tell the customer to make sure they have an hour free for there handover and not 15 minutes, i'm quite often told not to bother as they dont have the time!!!
