NH Dan,
Most people look for information on the internet for two reasons 1) they want to buy the product they are researching on the internet or 2) they have a problem with the product they have bought.
I searched for information on the Internet about the Civic when I was first interested in buying the car last July I think. I ordered my car in August and joined the site around then. I joined this site to talk about the car and get more information about the car I had just ordered. A vast majority of people look for answers to problems on the internet and this forum has a lot of answers to a lot of questions.
TC, sadly had one of the worst luck situations of anyone on here with her Civic(s) and was treated very badly by
HUK unfortunately. TC's experience of civic problems is invaluable to those on here who develop problems and so on.
The problem with satisfaction surveys is that they are performed by the company who you bought the car from, it's usually a outsource company ringing on behalf of the car company. I presume because of this Honda and other car manufacturers don't get to know people's gripes because the calling agent couldn't be bothered to pass on the information.
Was there any point telling the calling agent about the Civic problems by the original poster? No, not really. But was he frustrated? Yes.
