I was quite surprised when I first came to Uni in Glasgow and saw that an awful lot of cars have private plates here!
In the end I managed to get a nice short N. Ireland plate at an auction, IKZ 87 with 87 being the year I was born
How does the N.ireland plates work? i have seen a few such as "AZK 8457" ect ect (dontk now if that is correct but its along those lines,)

is there a part that represents the "year" (A) part for the area (ZK) and random numbers?
