Now I have done my trip (using V-Power and the car is at about 3600/3700 miles on the clock now. Well what a trip i've had in the Civic. Done almost 1000 miles since Friday, which is good going considering it didn't move from Friday evening till yesterday morning and I got stuck on the M6 for 3 and a half hours on Friday. Anyways, been getting 38.9 mpg.......I had done 274.4 miles and the left in the tank was 198 and when I filled it at that point (for the rest of the journey) It only took 25.78litres. I think my having to blast it more than a few times by people dithering in the middle lane had something to do with that. Now done 168 miles since the fill up and i've got 234 left in the tank.
I must say that I am mega impressed with that. I told my mate about that last night and what I had as a left in the tank is usually what he gets from a tank.
Been driving on a mixture of roads....motorway (in rush hour), motorway (after rush hour), some B roads, a lot of A roads both single and dual carriageways. Just thought I'd mention that just incase you thought it was all motorway driving

So you can get great consumption when your not in a rush.
On another Point. BP Ultimate is only 97 ron, while V-Power and the Super Unleaded sold by Esso, Tesco & Sainsburys is 99 ron. Forgive me if i'm wrong but I would have thought that the higher the Octane rating the better the fuel burns and the less you use? I am also miffed why V-Power and Super Unleaded is cheaper than BP Ultimate but is of a higher Octane rating
