I was actually stopped one morning on my way to work ad they were pulling over every other car. I was driving a week old Cooper S, they had only been released the week before and they checked all the lights, tyres etc while someone in a clapped out banger with no brake lights and a short somewhere went driving by quite the thing. Sometimes think they have nothing better to do.
