I had one which cost me £999 from the DVLA and I sold it for £4000. It funded the one I have now which I bought from the DVLA auction as a classic dateless plate. Just a triple number and 2 letters. It's great seeing real words made out of number plates WITHOUT being misspaced. One's like P1 ANO and MU51 CAL are great. Also, AR53 NAL. Trouble is, the DVLA cotton on so quickly it's hard to pick a new style one which makes a word which they haven't pulled for the auctions! I blame the online crossword helpers!! Nothing gets past them now!
they tell you not to misspace private plates but then DELIBERATELY put the price high on plates which would make words if misspaced.
