You obviously don't care about your cars as much as I did, and as I didn't expect to have to explain myself to people who are quite tetchy about this kind of thing, I didn't go into as much detail as maybe i should have. Please allow me to continue:
1. I said "sometimes" and the "bad parking" was in "quotes" which you guessed meant I did it deliberately to make it look like bad parking. Now I hate actual bad parking as much as the next man/woman and I would definitely not use these tactics in a "crowded" car park.
2. Seeing as this thread was about a guy who clearly loves his car and damage that had been done to it I was merely adding my story as a sympathetic anecdote.
3. What I actually do is park in an UN-crowded area of the car park, maybe even the opposite end to the shops (or whatever it's there for) and yes, at times I have crossed the lines but ONLY in an un-populated area, just for extra measure. I do this because I don't want people to do the
ACTUAL selfish and Ill mannered thing and prang my car with their inconsiderate door opening techniques. (In my eyes it's more selfish to just fling your door open onto another person's car than it is to go to lengths to avoid it)
4. In a multi-story / NCP type car park what I do (and what I did in this story) is park next to the wall so I half the chances of this happening.
I don't feel I should apologise or be picked on for actually giving a sh*t about my car.
