this is a Honda Approved repair
When I had my Civic hit on the back end I took mine to my local Honda approved repairer, owned by my local Honda dealer because they said it was necessary to maintain the paint warranty etc. I was quoted approx £450 as they said to do it right, the trims, parking sensors etc would need to be taken off. The car was with them for 2 days. Initially I thought it looked ok, but the more I looked at it the more I thought the job was pretty poor and I was never happy with it, and I could see the line in the lacquer where they had sprayed around the grey trim. I wouldn't mind betting they got it done by the Chips Away guy and pocketed the difference!

I had replaced the drivers front tyre the week before because of a puncture and when I got the car home that night noticed the tyre was deflating. On closer inspection I found the rim had been kerbed and the tyre had a bloody great plug in the centre section of the tread. It was clear that the rim and tyre had been swapped by someone at the garage - remember that the damage was at the rear of the car so no need to remove the front wheel. It was a good job I saw this on the night I got the car back, ans as you can imagine I was livid. A call first thing next morning to the paint shop manager, with threats of theft and police involvement soon sorted it out. I took the car down, they drove a brand new EX alongside and swapped the wheels over. Someone else presumably got a new car with an old wheel on it. I wish now I had just gone straight to the police!

Anyway, my point is , don't assume because it's a Honda recommended bodyshop all will be ok - stick with someone in your area you know will do a good job
