With my previous car I had asked to replace the grey mini panels within the inner side interior door handles. To my amazement both door panels had been completely removed (hence it's a 5 min job to replace those mini panels) and they managed to damage the lock of the passenger's door. They, well the technician, thought the lock was faulty, which, if they had simply tried to lock the door, was obviously not the case.
