Seriously, it is this website that convinced me to change my 6 month old Civic for a Jetta, because the constant drip feed of problems associated with the new Civic do not make comfortable reading. As I have said before, the Civic breaks new ground in design and innovation, but it doesn't come near the previous model for quality or reliability - that is a fact.
Yours is trouble free, but what about the dozens of repetitive complaints I have read about. I have a technical background and am deeply interested in all things electrical/mechanical, that is why I visit this site, not to gloat. As for FMEA, he is a busted flush, or he would have come forward as promised.
Any further 'slings and arrows' aimed at poor old Eddie land way too short when your own defences are wide open.

Good to hear that you have a technical background I suppose that`s why you base your choices on Which magazine.
You changed your Civic because other people had problems not you, sounds sensible, shame you did`nt base your opinion on the thousands of us that have totally reliable Civics and thoroughly enjoy them.
No my civic has`nt been to Lourdes but it had it`s first service yesterday and I`m sorry to have to report to you that there is not one thing wrong with it, the dealer automatically fitted the new type handbrake as well.
So there you have it along with thousands of happy civic owners and drivers reliability, performance, economy,fun and good service so of course we can keep smiling and we can make our own minds up without resorting to magazines and blaming this website because some of us have had problems.
