Update - installed my connects2 at the w/e - not my idea of recreation, a lot of swearing and head scratching was required but I got there in the end (the guides in the Wiki were invaluable)!
Unfortunately I can confirm that the connects2 box that In Car express told me would be compatible and would cahrge my iPod didn't work... quelle surprise
! I'll update the Wiki with my findings for future reference - time to chase them for a refund...
