Honda stated (to the best of my memory) in their original recorded letter that came with the new guide on how to apply the handbrake stated that the fix would allow you to apply the handbrake with or without pressing the button. Why do you need a new letter to state what the original letter said?
If I have miss quoted the original Honda letter, sorry, I binned mine after I had the fix done.

Thank you. Rather stubborn - may be. I have retained the letter and enclosed instructions that I received 4th December 2007. There is nothing in my letter that states
the fix would allow you to apply the handbrake with or without pressing the button.
It appears that other forum members are being contacted 'out of the anticipated March/April period' to have the work done. There is obviously a delay here, why I do not know but I did read somewhere that I think 69,000 Civics were involved, which is a lot of work involved, and expense.
It is nearly a fortnight ago that I wrote. I'll give them 14 days but I am like a dog with a bone......
