Just reading this thread & i am glad im not the only one with this funny noise. I noticed mine not long after I got the car (6 months back), but didnt bother to take it to get it checked. Am taking it in this Thursday for the handbrake fix, but have mentioned to them the "noise" & 3rd gear problem.
Just so im clear at dealership, has anyone worked out what it is yet?
Mine occurs just over 3K revs & I can only describe it as a "Whine" or "whirling" sound.?
