I normally use standard grade diesel, and had occasion to fill up with the more expensive 'premium' grade recently. I cannot say I have noticed any difference, though I have not really been 'looking' for differences.

Has anyone else tried this, and what were the results?

What are the proposed advantages of the 'premium' variety?

Cleaner?
Better economy?
Smoother?
Better performance?
