Well, I'm really not impressed with the dealers. I'm sending a letter to HUK and their head office.

I phoned them at about 9 and said the car will be with them by midday. At 11 I turned up and explained that it is p!ssing out oil on my drive and it is over filled with oil. They took the car and asked me to wait. I had a nose around the new CRV and Accords, and I'm ready to trade!

The service guys comes back and announces that it's fixed.
I asked what has been fixed, and he said the oil filter had a dodgy seal, so it has been replaced (the seal or filter?!).
I asked him about the oil level, and he said it was fine. I asked how he knew, and he said he used the dipstick. I pointed out that the engine has been running just a minute or two prior, and reading will be useless as the oil is not settled in sump.
He just insisted it was fine as the "engine was off" and he obviously knew better than me.
I stated that he was the expert, I have no idea what i'm talking about, and walked out.
I got home, let the oil settle, and checked the level again. Guess what? It was still above maximum, even after all the driving, the leakage on the drive, and any loss from changing the oil filter.

I will be calling HUK, and sending a letter to them, the dealer, and the dealer's HO.

Why do our good cars so often get let down by poor dealers?
