Not a huge problem I know but I'm in the James May school of tidyness with the air vents all lined up
The suede edges to the Type S seats end up striped / patterned / untidy (delete as appropriate)

I agree, i think the 5dr grill is definitely growing on me. Don't think it would suit certain colours though

Exactly. It seems to be a change purely for changes sake. It just looks much worse.

As stated before, the grill revision is something to do with better airflow and venting, most have assumed to do with the new auto box, which would make sense. So no, not purely for changes sake.

TBH, BMW sorted it easily, from that massive bit of ducting at the front, run a tube up and to the auto box, TBH I think the other gear box (semi auto) could have done with it as I have heard stories of overheating, however the manual civics could stay with having a nice grill. Does anyone think there will be many altered back to the old style? Will perspex ones on ebay become more valuable as people put right Honda's mistake?

I disagree - I think it looks like a grill with holes to let air in.

If anything, it makes the car look more conventional, or less scary to certain buyers.

I don't want it looking conventional, I want it looking different from everything else, thats why I bought it. But we are all welcome to our own opinions.

But it looks so crude compared to the old grill.

What a shame, i'm on my 2nd of the current model and-having lved them both-fully expected to be purchasing another in the new year.

I am in favour of the revised specs and colours, and the promise of an improved drive (am i reading to much into Pottsy's comments) but not keen on the grills, revised aprons (especially at the rear of the 5 door) or (controversially?) the TypeR style dash.

Alas, unless I get a deal I can't refuse, it is unlikely i'll purchase another.

I wonder if Honda have improved / re rated the shock absorbers and springs for UK roads ? It would cost hardly anything and help address the main weakness of the present car.
