How does customer control what dealer driver does in his car ? short of asking the service manager that the car does not leave site and recording the mileage, you cant.
Do you bring a check sheet with you and walk round the car with customer ? When you drop your car off, there should be some sort of check sheet and a quick walk round with the customer/service reception to agree the condition. Bear in mind a vast amount of people 'dont have the time' to wait around.

Who's car do you use to get driver to customers house to collect his car for servicing? Usually, the use mine!!! we wouldnt use a customers car to go and collect as this is usually done first thing in the morning when the cars are coming in. The only time this is doen is if we have a car that is in for work that requires a road test (squeaks/rattles etc).


I suspect you use another customers car to deliver driver, and collect at end of day. I suspect my car has been used for this purpose and was damaged in process (Kerbing, steering geometry) I always have a quick walk round when I collect from servicing but never inspected the alloys as I didn't imagine it had been off premises, just checked for paint/bodywork & interior damage. I Couldn;t prove anything after the event. Last week some ham fisted mechanic had messed up the leather on my gear knob, took me about 15 mins to correct it, luckily i could. I fail to see how someone driving into workshop and onto ramp could apply so much force to a gear stick ! Again I think its been out, I keep meaning to record mileage when I leave it with them. - couldnt comment on what has happened with your car, sorry.
