I have made a few posts about problems i have had with my car but here is the full list
1) Overheated in traffic in Feb, 2 weeks after getting the car - One of the coolant overflow pipes has been removed and the coolant system was sucking in air. - Fixed
2) Drivers door would jam when the outside temp exceeded 20c. You could get in, but would not be able to get back out again. - Fixed
3) Generally very badly performing brakes - Ongoing
4) Boot would not shut one day and was unable to lock the car properly. Took 3 days to get the dealer to sort it out, during which time the car was never properly locked - fixed but the boot is still very hard to shut properly
5) Nasty clunking coming from front of car when braking or accellerating - Was told that they couldn't find anything and to bring it back when it got worse
6) Clicking from front nearside outer CV joint - Fixed
7) Point 5 above was later diagnosed as a worn shock absorber - Fixed
Bumpstops were also replaced with point 7 above
9) Outer CVs gone again, but both this time - Booked in
10) Clunking coming from the front has also returned - Booked in
Points I have not bothered with
11) Fag lighter socket pulls out of centre console
12) Frog in my wipers
13) Boot gas struts not strong enough
14) Lift up boot flaw as become 'wonky' and doesn't sit correctly (although i have had some heavy stuff in the boot, but still!)
15) Rattle from dash, and now a new rattle/buzz from engine when letting off from 3900 rpm which has only appeared since it went for its first service. Nothing seams loose under the bonnet
16)Wildly innacurate fuel consuption figures (affected i assume by the innacuracy of the speedo!)
I like the car, I just wish it handled better. I could forgive it these little issues if it drove well, but it doesn't. It feels numb and very cumpersome at low speed.
Also there is not enough anti-roll on the car. The suspention is stiff, but it rolls arround on tight corners causing lack of grip etc and making the car generaly unsatisfying to drive. and the stiff springs make motorways a bit of a chore!
