Whatever you do DO NOT use anything thicker than a 15W/40 oil in any 2006 Civic as it completely screws up the oil level sensor readings!!
Also on the oil consumption front,the official line from Honda is anything upto 600 miles to a litre of oil is acceptable! But is very dependant on driving style and can be higher than expected during the first couple of thousand miles as the engine beds in.
