I have one major rattle in my car - seems to be from behind the CD/radio unit. I got so frustrated with it the other day I thumped the dash hard with my fist. Hey presto - no more rattle!

Still plenty of squeaking, though - mainly from the headlining it seems.

Mind you, I've noticed any noises are at their worst after just getting in the car, when the interior is either too hot or cold (weather dependant). Once it has reached an ambient temp of 20 degrees or so, seems to settle down a bit.
I have the headlining one, think it might be the windscreen clips that need breaking but I'm unsure about letting the dealer do this even!

Also got the cowl creaks but wondering whether to try silicone spray before the tape route.
