I am in the process of negotiating for a Civic 2.2 ES and one of the things I require is being able to link my iPod to the head unit.
I currently have a 2004 Accord and use a Dension ice>link plus. It has a white 14 pin plug which goes into the 14 pin cd changer socket on the underside of the head unit of the stereo.
As part of my negotiations I asked about transferring the ice>link to the Civic. I have just been informed, by the dealer, that that is not a problem, involving taking the dash away, as in previous posts, to expose the CD changer socket. It should then just plug in as designed. The garage want £55 for an hours work to do the job. I am trying to get that as part fo the 'deal' but that is a different story.
Obviously I am not in a position to verify that this works as I don't have the car at the moment, but I don't see why it should not as the CD changers are Sony makes and the Dension ice>link is designed to emulate a Sony system.
As and when I get my car sorted I will feedback, but not sure when this will be.
