Gear change is smoother compared to cable, as this drive by wire keeps the revs just right when changing gear. This in turn gives you great power when shifting i have found.
When in traffic with cbale accelerator, i found using first gear wasn't jumpy with slight movement of the accelerator, but with DBW, the slightest movement bounces the car, so its jsut a matter of controller the bouncing.
