I found out the hard way that the clock gets updated by the SatNav - my EX was delivered without the cable that connects the SatNav to the rest of the car, so the clock was reading completely the wrong time and there was no way to change it.
I wouldn't have thought that GPS satellites know about Summer Time - more likely done by the operating system in the SatNav - I think Pottsy said it's Windows CE.
