Some coincidence here I've currently got an early 1.8ex with 18" wheels 25000 miles.

Good points, dash looks fantastic at night, loads of space in boot, turn in and grip great as is handling on smooth roads.

Bad points, dash is a mess when you come to use it. see bugs faults and irritations, mine has had all of these inc a new gearbox and the new one feels fragile as well. Once roads get rough rebound damping feels too hard and car gets skittish, this affects brakes as well and ABS gets over sensitive and overall feels unstable under hard braking. 33mpg.

Overall its an OK family car especially if newer ones are better built but its not much fun, I'm actually on the verge of getting rid of mine and having driven one I'm looking at a .................. Fiesta ST.http://www.civinfo.com/forum/images/...icon_smile.gif

How have you found yours, is it just the ride or have there been other problems?
