I believe normally how it works is that Honda uk will have approached the DVLA with their request for a recall of a certain number of vehicles identyfied by their chassis number. The DVLA will then issue the Data to
Huk ( registered owners addresses ) and a recall letter will then be sent out.
Either this or the dvla send the letter out, as they are obviously more than a bit wary of manufacturers wanting to know who's driving all their cars.
I am also sure that any honda Dealer can punch your chassis number into
Huk warranty system and see wether your car is awaiting the recall.
If in any doubt just contact your Dealer.
If you have recently moved etc etc and forget to contact a dealer or you sell your car on what normally happens is that the recall is then re-issued 6-months or a year or so later using more upto date info from DVLA.
We are still seeing people coming in for a recall on 1996 accord seat belts that was first issued 2-3 years ago.
