Did in your case the mirror fit on the original base?
What type did you order?
Also, important to notice is that the voltage on the blue LED that you use is not suitable.
It is a PWM (Pulse Width Modulated) voltage coming from the dash light regulation.
A PWM voltage is a kind of rectangular wave, this might be the cause that your mirror is not working properly. Using a simple circuit it is possible to convert the PWM signal to a proper voltage.
