Hi Everyone, I have just joined the Civic forum.

I do not currently own a Honda Civic but I am seriously considering buying one. I currently drive a Mini Cooper, which I love and has served me really well in the two years that I have had it - no problems what so ever. I was intending to buy another Mini when I come to change my car next year however I have been stopped in my tracks by the new Honda Civic.

It looks fantastic both inside and out (I just love the two tier dashboard). Its the only car that is a serious contender to my Mini (the thing I like about my Mini is the fact that it is different!). Most cars these days all look the same - bland and boring. But the Civic is different! I'm driving my husband mad going on about it all the time.

I'm waiting for Civic S Type to come out before I make my decision and take a test drive (although I really would like the Type R!). Anyway its interesting reading all your comments and determining what options I should have on the Civic. I really would like the I-shift but I have heard mixed reports so still undecided.

Your comments on the I-shift would be appreciated.
