the stuff i used to fix to the fog lamp is made by 3M. its a plastic velcro, so i can take them off for cleaning.
there is some clear stuff about by the same people, but is were hard to get hold of, 5 x 1cm squares works out about £3. i will get some ordered and done as you wont even know there are covers on there then.
if they do the job and save my fog lamps,(made fog lamp covers for my last 2 cars and never had a broken 1) then im happy.
just got them on now for the winter as they have now started gritting the roads, so more stones etc flying about off other cars.
