That quote alone should ring alarm bell with Honda, Skoda is the bargain range of the VAG group, Honda is considered a premium car manufacturer, you should not feel like you are moving backwards quality wise when you swap from a Skoda to an equivalent size Honda. I know Skoda are an excellent package now and I nearly bought a Fabia VRs when i bought my last car, and I regret not doing so, I would have a healthier bank balance if I had. Although there must be something wrong with your old car if it was using that amount of oil, surely that cant be considered normal.
