BTW, headlamp washing does not have anything to do with the kind of bulb inside... It is only a matter of paying for the facility to clean the mud on the glass. Actually, from what I have seen, it does not wipe the surface clean, but wets the glass with a water jet so the glass+mud combination is more transparent. But unless you have wipers for the headlamps, positive cleaning is not possible. It is only a washer and is useful to a certain extent. |
I belive the washers are there to cool the light unit down. My passat squirts its headlight washers on its own if they have been on for a while.
Id like to know if anyone who has them is impressed with the
HID lights. I did not think they were much good on the demonstrator i tested.
