Thanks happy to be aboard. Clarifying: some of the dealers would apparently have been happy to sell any cars/demonstrators they had unmodified. Honda are apparently modifying i-Shift models (petrol models confirmed, diesel?) in production and booked by Dealers from some unspecified date, which will result in emissions going up and the VED by one band (100-125) also petrol consumption -presumed to now be same as manual car). What could not be explained is: why and what is the effect. best I got is 'it will make changes smoother'. Since I was pretty happy with un-modified i-Shift went ahead to do a deal on a new car. i-Shift has its own 'style' with pluses and minuses compared with the previous torque converter type but pluses rule.
