Hi Surfer,
I had my warranty claim rejected by Honda warranty, but Honda customer services paid for the replacement foglights (x2) as a goodwill gesture (they're also paying for my next service too!)
Can I suggest that any issues with foglights are directed to Kiran (female) in Honda customer services. She is well aware of the issue and in my opinion, if correspondence is made to the same person within Honda, they won't be able to say that they're not aware of a problem! Make sure that you talk to her nicely, we don't want to be hacking off the people who can help us get problems sorted!
I'm sure that the shape of the lens is what's causing the cracks. Also, having taken a brief look at the new lamps, they're bonded to the reflectors quite a way from the edge of the glass. This might allow more flex in the foglight, causing the distinctive circumferencial cracks that seem to blow out towards the corners.
