You're pretty lucky there by the sound of it.
I was going along in my Rover Coupe some years ago and a blackbird (crow?) flew in front of me and hit the car hard.
I was travelling at a fair speed and when I looked in my rearview mirror all I could see across the dual carriageway was a large cloud of black feathers. Then all of a sudden, while I was looking, the bird just plummeted down to the ground in the midele of them. It looked quite comical and I had a little chuckle to myself.
When I got home I had a look at the front of the car. The headlight was cracked, the bonnet was dented, paint had chipped and there were entrails all over the front and down the side to the boot.
I bet that bird's ghost had a chuckle to itself when I got a bill for £300.
