I've been the owner of a 2.2 cdti ex for almost 12 months but have been experiencing performance problems for about 4 months.

Problem is at around 2500/3000 rpm accelerating from 3 to 4th gear or 4th to 5th the engine appears to misfire - this takes several second to clear and on occasions have to change down gear as low as 2nd sometimes.

This is intermittant but getting much worse - to a point the other day that the car appeared to have this poor tickover when at traffic lights when trying to pull away the engine stalled.

Have taken it into the local dealership - coundn't find anthing wrong!!!

Anyone else out there having this problem????
