Hi there

Been registered here for 4 months or so and today took the plunge by ordering a Type S GT Diesel. To be honest, I was bored and I was thinking of just getting another Fabia vRS (they're really good cars, and dirt cheap) but thought, what the hell, the Civic looks v. cool. I never thought I'd buy a Honda because of my heart ruling my head!

The spec I want is NHB with the DVD Navi, and both city pack and image pack too.

Both broadspeed.com and drivethedeal.com only allowed me to specify the navi, 18" rims, and the pearlescent paint as options, and came through as follows:

Broadspeed: £18764
Drivethedeal: £18613.87

So I have placed an order with drive the deal - and placed my deposit. They called me back 30 mins later to tell me they would now source a dealer who would get back in touch. I've told them to try and find one with city and image pack as I believe these are factory and not dealer fitted options?

However on another thread I see people saying that NHB cars are 20 weeks waiting time so I might go for bronze instead. Those are my two favourite colours. I do like those 18" Anthracite wheels too, which is why I've ordered them.

Glad to join the fold here - I'm a long term jap fan who's had a Gen 7 Celica and currently owns a Supercharged Nissan 350Z. I'll post pics if people like.

Oh, and of course, I have a 14 month old Skoda Fabia vRS runaround for sale if anyone's interested!

Finally - thanks to the forum and all the posters here, for helping me make my decision. The community of car ownership is very important to me, and there's no better, non cliquey, supportive environment than with Jap cars. Hope to join your fold soon enough
