I too belong to the RAC and have done for over 20 years. My membership includes my wife, son and daughter and covers us for rescue and recovery individually in any vehicle we travel in, even as a passenger.

If I had a problem with the Civic I'd call the AA. The RAC is a kind of "catch all" insurance.
