Hi,

I took my 06 civic back to Honda on Saturday for the CD player to be replaced as the eject mechanismn is playing up, whilst I was there I was advised that Honda have told all their dealers to check the windscreen rubber seal where it joins the roof, evidently they have come accross issues where movement between the roof and seal is wearing through the paint. On checking this has actually happened and they now will be fitting a modified seal and will have to repaint part of the roof. Although this is not yet an official recall it is worth checking. If it is not detected then basically rust will start to set in, I don't understand why Honda are not recalling the cars to check this rather than waiting until a car comes in for service etc.
