You say that but past experience says some dealers have problems one dealer (Ford) even refused to do it unless the sale was dependant on it the saleswoman said "you'd have to do it yourself after, we register it in an 07 plate and you can sort out the transfer" When my mum said OBVIOUSLY she wanted her own plate on the car she said "well I suppose we
could do it if it means losing a sale". Needless to say they didnt buy a car there and went out of town to another dealer. Where it was delayed a week due to the DVLA transfer (either this was salesman BS or they genuinely had a problem)
My parents have had private plates for as long as I can remember and nearly always switch cars every 3 yrs and have never had a problem until the last 3 yrs!!
