the fittings are the same as what the motorbike head light covers are fitted on with, had all bikes way past 120mph and have never encountered a problem, and they are the same size. thats why i use these fixings.

Well I doubt they were stolen as since having the car, I've only ever kept it in the garage at home or my secure car park at work. It's never been anywhere else and I've only had it for two months. They also disappeared at different times.
I've made myself a new set of covers now and would like to try them again but I don't know where you get the sticky pads from.
