Got a Sony Vega 32" Plasma, mate has a very high quality 30" LCD and to be honest there isnt alot in it, although deep blacks on the LCD do cause some issues (come out as grey's sometimes). Sony hasn't been tripped up yet.
Also if you thinking of Plasma make sure your floor doesnt have a maximum weight limit.... they are friking heavy as a heavy thing. I can pick up a 32" CRT television on my own no problem, no chance with a 32" Plasma unless I wanna break my back!!!
