Having had two Honda automatics (Accord and previous Civic - both conventional and excellent automatics) - I would have liked another automatic. However I also wanted the economy and pull of the diesel, so went that way. I was also somewhat nervous that the i-shift is new technology for Honda.
Having read all the threads on here - my current view is that I would not purchase an i-shift.
Why?
Well - there seem too many people with problems to be just isolated cases, and whilst some seem quite happy - there are a significant number who are not happy, and Honda doing major mods that are not able (for whatever reason) to be retrospectively applied worries me.
I would think very carefully before going i-shift, and if you intend to resell, the car at some time - think residuals too.
Its your choice - but do read all the threads on here before taking the plunge!
