My i-Shift has been faultless. Brilliant system
but it is an automated manual and not an automatic in the general sense. It does take a couple of weeks to get used to it but when you do it gives you the best of both worlds; an auto when in traffic or when you want to take it easy, and the paddles or stick changes when you want a more sporty ride.
Excellent system, I love it.
